Beneath the palm trees of La Radieuse — الباهية or between the orange trees of downtown, in the port cities of Mostaganem, Oran, and Béni-Saf, I experimented with digital photography for the first time in Algeria, through the lens of my little Sony camera. This black and white series deepens the nostalgic spirit of my early childhood — a feeling that returns to me each time I go back. That spirit lives within all of us, no matter the age or the era — and that’s exactly what I tried to capture here.
